Welcome back to Onslow County Today! In this episode Lisa Whitman-Grice welcomes Public Health Lead Educator Amy Small to talk about the North Carolina Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Program offered through the Health Department. Allison Mattocks with Onslow County Cooperative Extension discusses the upcoming Bradford Pear Bounty where you can remove the tree and get a NC native replacement as well as the upcoming Onslow County Fair. LaQuesha Cadwallader, Recreation Supervisor, tells us about what we can expect at the Hispanic Heritage Festival and all the scary fun activities planned at the Annual Monster Bash. Jennifer Randall with the Public Library gives us the details on the first ever Renaissance Faire and all the upcoming programs and events taking place during the month of October at all four library branches. To close us out our Telecommunications Division Chief Ray Silance provides tips and reminders in light of Fire Safety and Prevention Month that can help us all keep our homes safe.
