In this episode Lisa Whitman-Grice welcomes Public Health Nursing Supervisor Angela Flowers to talk about back to school immunizations and well checks through the Health Department. Airport Director Mitch Sprunger joins the show to provide an Airport update and summer travel reminders. Lacey Brown from NC Cooperative Extension’s Onslow County office tells us all about the upcoming Pollinators Census and how the community can help contribute to the data collection. Veronica Ortiz, Behavioral Health Program Manager, tells us when and where the next Annual Opioid Settlement Funds Community Meeting will take place and Stephanie Cain, Community Paramedics Program Manager joined by COSSUP Coordinator Grace Smolen provide all the details on the Opioid Resource Fair happening on August 31 in conjunction with the meeting.
